About Us

Currently the Rogue Shark Lab (RSL) consists of two Masters in Marine Science with specialties in deep sea chondrichthyan taxonomy based in the San Francisco Bay Area. As first-generation Latine Californians, our inaugural members believe in giving back to their communities by making RSL educational programs accessible to students with their shared backgrounds. For instance, RSL is developing bilingual content and establishing education partnerships in low-socioeconomic neighborhoods. More broadly, RSL education programs aim to engage any and all participating students with the scientific approaches in shark research that are best suited to improving their STEM skills and knowledge.
