Our Vision

The Rogue Shark Lab (RSL) envisions an equitable career path for chondrichthyan scientists in which advancement is unbounded by resources, and research achievements are amplified through public education about sharks and their relatives. Since traditional paths cannot accommodate everyone, RSL was established to support the individuals who feel they must go rogue to continue chondrichthyan research. In honor of the rogue scientists that come to RSL, we highlight their diverse backgrounds and/or humble beginnings so as to more deeply engage those with shared identities into the STEM fields.
