To advance chondrichthyan science through collaborative research and outreach education.
We are seeking funding to immediately set forth our goals on staff support, chondrichthyan scientific advancement, education outreach and colleague networking. Some of our largest goals include:
Funding for 2 part-time staff members
Creating a ‘Shark Museum’ for proper storage and outreach of our rare specimens
In-person & virtual classrooms visits (seeking funding to target migrant students)
Official Announcement of RSL at Shark Con (July 15-16 in Tampa, FL)
Colleague networking- Indo-Pacific Shark Conference in New Zealand and Taiwan (November)
Do you think you can help us reach our 2023-24 goals? We are looking for funding sources, donors, sponsorships and in-kind donations that can help us bring our work into fruition. If you're interested in remote volunteering* with our outreach efforts, then head to our Contact page.
*Please note we're not accepting volunteers for shark research and we do not engage inquiries regarding "shark attacks"
